You May Want to Think Twice Before Purchasing Knock Offs |
|
|
If you go on a trip to New York City you can find a lot of street
vendors selling lots of knock offs that range from purses to sneakers
to leather gloves. It always seemed an innocent and good way of getting
what you wanted for a much cheaper price. At that time, no one
suspected anything about the origins of the items or the destination of
the profits.
Unfortunately, most of those items that people innocently purchased are actually considered counterfeit. Some of the profits are aiding some major criminal activities, and some of those criminal activities may even be terrorism. Many counterfeit items have been seized from terrorists. Some of those items are purses and watches, things that the general public simply assumes are knock offs.
In our modern time, it is no longer harmless to purchase these knock offs. The profits could be directly helping terrorists make counterfeit driver's licenses or bringing another terrorist into our country. If you purchase these products, you may contribute to the potential harm that may occur.
Most of these knock offs are also stolen, apart from possibly being a source of funds for criminal activities. If you purchase stolen items, you will be aiding a criminal to continue stealing for a profit.
Most of the knock offs you can find on various streets are also very cheaply made. Sometimes, the item falls apart after 24 hours of the purchase. Some of labels on these items mock designer labels, because they are spelled incorrectly. The reason for this is that there are foreign countries who are making and producing the knock offs to ship to various locations.
The low quality products are often sold on the streets without a receipt or warranty. If the precious new expensive looking item you bought suddenly falls apart, you will not be able to retrieve your money because there is no return policy.
Even though knock offs may seem like a brilliant idea to make yourself look more wealthy or fashionable, you should still be aware of all of the consequences before you make that shady purchase.
