Nothing Beats My Cool Silver Rings E-mail
If you know me, you know that I love silver. I have a special fondness for cool silver rings and you will never catch me wearing gold. I learned long ago that you can’t mix the two, and I also found that I don’t really care.

I love silver and every piece of jewelry I wear is made of it exclusively. I do have a few gold pieces but I never wear them. My husband got me a gold watch once and I did wear it for a while just for him, but he learned that year to only buy me silver. And I shopped for sterling silver rings men for him too.

I have a few White Opal sterling silver rings that I never take off of my fingers. Each of them has a special memory attached, and I feel naked if they are not on my fingers. The problem I have had with silver rings, however, is that there are some that simply don’t like my skin.

It may be the cheaper kinds that always do this, but some of them will turn my finger green or brown underneath. I can’t say it’s always the cheap ones though, as I have spent good money on silver rings that have done the same thing.

When the silver rings do something to my skin, I do have to get rid of them. I have heard that you can coat silver rings with clear nail polish to stop this from happening, but I don’t really have the time for that, nor do I want to mess with it.

I have to be careful which ones I buy, but honestly, I never know which ones are going to do it. Because I buy so many of them, it’s not always practical to buy the most expensive silver rings I can find, and quite often, the ones I fall in love with at first glance might not be all that expensive anyway.

If you find that you have this problem with gem stone silver rings, you have to make sure you are buying ones that are pure sliver, unless that gives you problems too. Always think twice before getting silver items that are free or so cheap it seems to be a steal.

These usually are silver plated rings that might have nickel in side, and I think nickel may be on of the things that make silver rings react with some people’s skin. There are plenty of great rings out there, so don’t settle for the junk.
