| My Love of Gold Cross Jewelry |
|
|
I am fond of collecting religious jewelry, especially
religious pendants of varying sizes and shapes. I love to wear gold
cross jewelry and other types of religious jewelry. I also collect
Jewish stars, Islamic symbols, and Hindu jewelry with elaborate and
beautiful Sanskrit writing on them.
Wearing religious jewelry of
different religions is my way of showing my tolerance of all faiths.
Since I am a Christian, I consider my gold cross jewelry as the most
valuable among the pieces in my religious jewelry collection. I love
them so much that I feel as though I can’t live without them.
My Maltese cross earrings are one of my favorite pieces of gold cross jewelry. They are rather small and not the big, gaudy, oppressively sparkly monstrosities that you are probably imagining right now. The earrings are about a half of an inch in length, with an elegant, simple and unadorned design.
I wear them to show my faith along with the wealth that I have received from the Lord, and they look simply fabulous on my earlobes. Wearing small earrings is a great way of showing your good taste in this period dominated by sophisticated dangly ornaments.
I also deeply treasure my Celtic cross necklace. This piece of gold cross jewelry has a much deeper sentimental value although it is not as constant a part of my look as my earrings.
My grandmother gave it to me when I was graduating in college, and I have worn it at least once a week ever since. Giving every family member a piece of gold cross jewelry when they graduate is a family tradition.
My grandmother improved this family tradition. She gave me the type of gold cross jewelry which she knew would hold the most appeal to me instead of getting a staid, plain gold crucifix. I love Celtic designs of all kind, and the Celtic cross is one of the most beautiful in my collection.
I am always grateful to my grandmother for giving me this wonderful piece of jewelry. The Celtic cross necklace is one of the most beautiful pieces of gold cross jewelry which I have ever laid my eyes on.
